Thuidium delicatulum

A common moss, usually on moist slopes. The very small leaves (in moss terms) and distinctive branching pattern make the genus easy to recognize but, predictably, I have no pictures giving its general appearance.

I don't recall what these little things coming off the stem are called, but they're useful in identification of the various species.
